Building a New Standard for SEN Practice in Nigeria

Nigeria's Special Educational Needs (SEN) sector is growing rapidly, yet many families, schools, and organizations still face challenges identifying trained, ethical, and professionally guided practitioners.

The SmartPrep Fellowship of Certified SEN Practitioners was established to help bridge this gap by promoting structured, responsible, and inclusive SEN practice across educational, developmental, and support settings.

This Fellowship represents a growing network of trained practitioners committed to supporting children and individuals with developmental, learning, behavioural, communication, and inclusion needs through evidence-informed and child-centred approaches; non-clinically.

Our mission is to strengthen professionalism within the SEN space by:

• Promoting ethical practice and accountability
• Encouraging continuous professional development
• Structuring and improving public trust in SEN services
• Supporting multidisciplinary collaboration
• Creating a reliable network of trained practitioners for families, schools, and organizations

Practitioners listed within this directory are members of the Fellowship and have completed professional training through SmartPrep's SEN development programs.

The Fellowship recognizes the importance of professional boundaries and collaborative practice. Members have been trained to collaborate and work alongside educators, therapists, schools, caregivers, and families to provide non-clinical developmental, educational, behavioural, communication, and inclusion support services.

This directory was created to help parents, schools, and organizations connect with Smartprep's trained, vetted, and Verified SEN practitioners with greater confidence, clarity, and trust.
